Waníyetu (Winter) Bird Walk and Storytelling

WTA is excited to partner with Urban Bird Collective for a morning of birding to wrap up 2025!

Join us at Waḳaƞ Ṭípi on Sunday, December 7th from 9am to 12pm to see our flying relatives and listen to stories. We will provide instruction and binoculars. All ages and experience levels are welcome and encouraged!

Following the guided bird walk, stick around for storytelling and light refreshments. We will be having cherished elders Mary Louise Defender Wilson (Standing Rock) and Marge Roscelli (Sioux Valley) sharing traditional Dakota stories. We're so honored to have them join us!

This event is intended for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community members and their families. Spots are limited!
